Labor Day is the federal holiday created to honor American workers and their achievements, giving most the day off, because that’s definitely the way to our hearts. Held on the first Monday of September, the preceding weekend is also the unofficial end of summer. This year, Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 6, and most online sales will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 4.
